Pharmacy M by Caan Architecten
The cross-shaped window of the Pharmacy M is the most striking feature and the focal point of the store design which turns into a green sign during office hours. This Belgian pharmacy has been transformed and completed by the Belgian studio Caan Architecten and is constructed on a former farm within the outskirts of Ghent.
At a glance, it looks like an ordinary emergency kit as it looks like a box. The ground floor of the architecture is occupied completely by the sales floor while a laboratory can be seen on the basement. A small apartment or living space is located on the first floor. This can be accessed through the shop but it opens out into a stunning roof terrace. The kitchen, dining and sleeping areas have been incorporated in this space.
